Iowa City, IA — Poets on the Book is a two day event that brings together poets from across the country to read and speak about their work in Iowa City.

The event will take place on April 24th and 25th, 2015 and will include the following poets:

Brandon Brown // John Coletti // Matt Hart // erica kaufman // Ted Mathys

Poets on the Book will feature the following readings and events:

Friday, April 24th at 7 PM at Prairie Lights
Poets Ted Mathys and Matt Hart will read from their recent work.


Ted Mathys’ forthcoming book Null Set will be released by Coffee House Press in June 2015. Matt Hart’s most recent book is Debacle, Debacle (H_NGM_N Books, 2013). This event is cosponsored by the Iowa Youth Writing Project.

Saturday, April 25th from 5 - 6:30 PM at 402 Fairchild Street
Poets Brandon Brown, John Coletti and erica kaufman will speak about how their most recent books negotiate both social and formal concerns. 

Brandon Brown’s most recent book is Top 40 (Roof Books 2014). John Coletti’s most recent book is Deep Code (City Lights 2014). erica kaufman’s most recent book is INSTANT CLASSIC (Roof Books 2013).

A potluck picnic will follow the event.

Saturday, April 25th at 8 PM at 402 Fairchild Street

Poets Brandon Brown, John Coletti and erica kaufman will read in the final installment of the 2014-2015 season of the Human Body Series.
