There is so much to do (and not do) these days, and our collective bandwidths are being strained in enormous ways. At the University of Iowa, we love our writers, our programs, we love our graduates and our students -- and we love the wealth of literature that they gift us, simply by being here.

Iowa Long Read: Women’s Creative Mentorship Project
In 2019, the International Writing Program organized a special program to develop amplify women’s literary voices by matching an established writer (and IWP Fall Residency alumna) with two emerging/beginning writers from her home/residing country. This stunning anthology bears the fruits of their labor, with contributions from Argentina, Botswana, Colombia, Ghana, Italy, Kenya, Mauritius, Mexico, Somalia, and South Africa.
