Writers in Residence

THIS AUTUMN marks the two year anniversary of the Writer-in-Residence Program at the UI Museum of Art. The program, created to foster a relationship between creative writing and the visual arts, awards four MFA candidates in the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa with a residency each year.

Each resident spends three months at the Museum working on various writing projects, as well as participating in their own public reading alongside a number of well-known writers from the International Writing Program and faculty from the Writers' Workshop and other famed UI writing programs.
