The University of Iowa's Nonfiction Department hosted the Bedell NonfictioNow Conference Nov. 1–3, in the Iowa Memorial Union. This biennial conference gathers together 400 nonfiction writers, teachers, and students from around the world in order to explore the myriad forms of nonfiction. Panels and readings highlight different aspects of the genre, from the video essay, documentary, and radio essay to the memoir, lyric essay, and literary journalism.
