The March 27 edition of The Daily Palette marked the launch of a new feature, "Iowa Vlogs," with "Please Call Stella," a piece by University of Iowa undergraduate and time-based media artist Josh Eklow.
"Iowa Vlogs" is designed to spotlight growing interest in an emerging medium, the online video blog. Traditional blogs (short for "web log") provide online commentary, news, or personal journals. Vlogs expand this use to include time-based media. "Iowa Vlogs" highlights the efforts of some of Iowa's most technologically avant-garde media artists, and marks the rise of a new hypertext media literary form.
