Bi Feiyu's 'The Moon Opera' selected for Independent Foreign Fiction Prize long-list

IWP Alumnus Bi Feiyu's novel The Moon Opera appeared on the long-list for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize, announced Jan. 25, 2008. The Moon Opera was one of 17 selections chosen from almost 100 submissions of translated fiction by living authors published in the UK during 2007.

A 2006 participant of the University of Iowa's International Writing Program, Feiyu has published more than 20 novels and short story collections, several of which have been awarded prizes, including two Lu Xun prizes (1995-6; 2002-2005). His novels have been translated and published in France and Germany.
